🎇 Why I Created This Patriotic Pasta Salad

Let me tell you a story.

It’s July 4th, two years ago. I bring a tub of homemade pasta salad to my friend’s BBQ—no frills, just what I had on hand: rotini, bacon, ranch, and some veggies I wanted to use up.

Within 15 minutes? Gone.A guy holding a beer actually yelled across the yard, “Who made the pasta thing?!” like it was a lost dog.

From that day on, I started tweaking the recipe—adding red tomatoes, white cheese, and blue cabbage to give it that fireworks flair. Now, it’s not just good. It’s iconic. And I’m giving it to you.

Everything in this pasta salad is simple, flexible, and probably already in your kitchen.

Q: Can I double this recipe?

A: Absolutely. This pasta salad scales up beautifully for parties and potlucks.
